New mobile site

We have recently launched a mobile site for GP Trainees using mobile devices. It is currently experimental, but already features:

• Fewer graphics
• Very simple styling
• Fewer menus (less scrolling for mobile users)
• Convenient content-first layout with a link to the menus at the top of the page

I have tested it with firefox, emulating a wide range of mobile devices, and this appears to be successful.

You may also choose to use this version of the site for slow internet connections, e.g.:

• dialup connection
• netbook or 3G-enabled laptop with a weak signal
• other form of low-bandwidth internet connection

As the mobile version has fewer graphics and smaller page sizes, you only spend time waiting for the content to download, not for the rest.
